Memorable night performing with Richard Howell and Sudden Changes
OCT 18 (No Kings Day) - It is always a gift to play with the legendary mentor and friend, Richard Howell. Last Saturday was no different as Richard is just amazing! The night was extra special as Deszon Claiborne was fantastically rolling out phenomenal beats and rhythms with Ravi Abcarian cool basstones (another longtime mentor friend and director of Oaktown Jazz Workshops). Add OJW cohorts Gus Hurteau (NYC) and Ruben Green (Los Angeles), together the performance at Mr. Tipples was truly special! What a memorable evening to be able to play together - a night I will keep close in my heart.
If that wasn’t special enough- we also celebrated the amazing new Richard Howell painted portrait
Mr. Tipple’s debuted on their front door, honoring Richard’s generous contributory spirit of bringing JOY to the club through his performances. Check the mural out below, AND Richard Howell’s NEW album Our Purpose.
We got to celebrate the new Richard Howell painted mural portrait on front doors of Mr. Tipple’s in San Francisco!
