Read MoreKCSM invites listeners, jazz lovers, and the broader Bay Area community to gather at Press Club SF for Musings on Miles—a one-night-only evening celebrating the artistry, innovation, and enduring influence of Miles Davis through the reflections and memories of Bay Area jazz legend Sonny Buxton. Sonny will share personal stories, reflections, and musical insights inspired by Miles Davis: the innovator, the bandleader, the cultural force, and the mystery at the center of modern jazz. Together, Sonny and Greg will explore not only the music, but the atmosphere, creativity, and spirit that made Miles one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. The evening will also feature live performances from the Erik Jekabson Quintet and rising young trumpeter Max Ehrhardt, connecting the spirit of Miles Davis and the Bay Area jazz tradition to the next generation of musicians carrying the music forward today. Throughout the night, guests will experience live jazz, conversation, storytelling, and the unmistakable warmth of the KCSM community gathered together in one room.
